What applies in New South Wales

Working to New South Wales requirements

Building code edition

New South Wales remains on NCC 2022 until the state adopts NCC 2025. We note the edition on every set.

Registration and sign-off

Under the Design and Building Practitioners Act, regulated designs for Class 2, 3 and 9c buildings must be declared by a registered design practitioner, and professional engineering work in the prescribed areas done by or under the direct supervision of a registered professional engineer. We prepare; your practitioner declares.

Security of Payment

The Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW): payment claims and schedules prepared to the statutory timelines for your review and issue.

Every deliverable is prepared for, and under the direction of, your New South Wales-registered practitioner. We note the code edition and any state variations on every set. Read the guardrails →

FAQ

Sydney questions

How does the DBP Act affect offshore drafting?

Regulated designs for Class 2, 3 and 9c buildings must be declared by a registered design practitioner. We never declare; we prepare documentation under your practitioner's direction and they declare it.

Do you do facade documentation for Class 2?

Cladding setout and junction details to the manufacturer's tested system, coordinated to the frame. AS 5113 assessments and fire-engineering performance solutions are never offshore. EPS systems are scoped to Class 1 and low-rise; AAC and other systems to the manufacturer's tested scope.
