Detailing capacity for the drawing office and the roll-former
Fabricators get Tekla models, shop and erection drawings, NC/DSTV files and bolt lists to their own standards and numbering, with the drawing content and traceability that AS/NZS 5131 categories and SCA audits expect. LGS manufacturers get panel drawings and machine files in their roll-former's configuration, coordinated with cladding setout and services where we also do that work.
We are explicit about the line. Shop and erection drawings and NASH deemed-to-satisfy detailing are in scope. Connection design to AS 4100 and LGS design beyond NASH NS100 solutions are engineering, done only under your Australian-registered engineer's documented supervision.
What you are probably dealing with
- Drawing office backlog. Fabrication waiting on drawings; detailers impossible to hire.
- Connection design exposure. Offshore providers that quietly design connections without an Australian engineer.
- SCA audit expectations. Drawing content and traceability to AS/NZS 5131 categories.
- Roll-former throughput. Machines idle while panels are detailed.

ServiceDetailing is ours. Design is your engineer's.
The real exposure in steel is connection design; in LGS it is member design beyond the published NASH solutions. We triage every job at intake against a written rule, flag what is engineering, and do it only under your registered engineer's documented supervision. It is slower than pretending, and it is the reason a fabricator can put our drawings in front of an SCA auditor without a second thought.
Software and standards
Your questions
Do you detail to our SCA category?
Yes — CC1 to CC3 drawing content and traceability as specified by your engineer and expected by Steelwork Compliance Australia auditors.
Can you output machine files for our roll-former?
FRAMECAD, Howick and Scottsdale output from Vertex BD or the manufacturer's detailing software, in your configuration.
Who supervises the engineering?
Your Australian-registered engineer, under a documented direct-supervision arrangement agreed before the first job. If you do not have one available, tell us and we will discuss options.
What is the pilot?
Steel: one job's shop drawings to your standards. LGS: one dwelling or module's panels and machine files. Fixed fee, agreed count and turnaround, reviewed by your drawing office or production manager.
One job, your standards, fixed fee.
Send a design set and your drawing standards. We return a fixed fee, a drawing count and a turnaround for a pilot.
